I made this game for everyone who ever helped at Trikaya. If you were part of the build-up crew, you’ll find a lot of familiar things in here: the jobs, the places, the drama and the tools that are never where they should be. You can play it without ever having been there, but it’s the most fun if you were.

The Trikaya Aufbau Simulator is a small parody construction sim of the Trikaya festival build-up in München-Allach. You run around the site, get jobs from the crew, drive the quad and the wheel loader, and build the festival piece by piece: the dragon mainstage, shade sails, light masts, the chai lounge, the domes, the toilets (and the poo pump).

Along the way there’s random drama: nails in bare feet, kitchen fights, broken generators, people who are a bit too high. Help them, earn karma, spend it on mate and pro gaffa. Wander off into the fields and the police picks you up.

German by default, English in the settings. Runs right here in the browser, built with three.js.

The real festival behind it: Trikaya Festival.

Geistreich or Geistlos?

In my novel Der Kurator, art is either geistreich, made with human spirit, or geistlos: generated, spiritless. Where exactly the line is, nobody in the book agrees.

For my own stuff I can answer it, case by case. So every project on this site shows how much of it I credit to AI:

There is no 10/10 on this site so far. A 10 would mean I wasn't involved at all in making it. That hasn't happened yet. What a 10/10 project could be one day, and whether it would still be mine, is a question I find pretty interesting.

The number is my own judgement. You're welcome to disagree.
